Inel Tomlinson, the CEO and founder of Kinetic Comedy is the energetic lifeblood behind the company and its current workshop expansion plans. His vision is to help make the performing arts more accessible to people of all ages and walks of life in order to unlock potential new UK talent.
His warm, exuberant personality and positive aura makes him the perfect candidate to put others at ease and help them realise their own potential.
Inel’s experience as a qualified secondary school drama teacher gives him the teaching skills required to head up the workshops and keep the typically 'difficult' target age range engaged and interested in the course. He has also mentored at various different workshops teaching a wide range of acting / comedy skills to varied age ranges.
Most recently, Inel has been chosen to be a special guest on the BBC Comedy Live Lesson which will be streamed live as part of the UK-wide campaign BBC Comedy Classroom to uncover the next generation of comedy writers and performers. The lesson be based around the key literacy themes required in comedy writing for stand up, sketch and captions which will be another great experience for Inel to draw from for the future Kinetic Comedy workshops.
Diversity in the Arts is another subject that Inel is passionate about and he has already achieved mainstream recognition as one half of the UK’s first black British comedy double act Johnny and Inel which was a groundbreaking achievement in British Comedy.
Through their hit CBBC TV Show 'The Johnny & Inel Show', Inel was able to showcase his diverse acting and writing talents by creating and embodying a plethora of colourful comic roles.
As a regular face on the comedy circuit all over the country, Inel's portrayals of interesting characters coupled with his mixture of comedic timing, nostalgia and eye for the ridiculous keeps the audience in stitches from start to finish.
His experience on the circuit means he has all the skills necessary to help teach the students how to find material from their own unique experiences and show them how to turn them into confidently delivered stand-up and sketches.
His stand-up comedy experience led him to set up the Kinetic Comedy monthly events that showcase the best up and coming comedy acts interspersed with games, competitions and music.
